First meme to enter the Nuestra Familia blog; I blame Simon. A couple posts ago he tagged me in the event of « blogs that make him think » – I’m still scratching my head on that one, but he’s a nice guy and I’ve already voted for him in the Blogger’s Choice Awards, so I’ll not assume this flattering mention is paving the way to a favor request – and so here are my fives. By the way, I’ll avoid mentioning the same people he did – his wife Amy and fellow Bw’er Paul – and also the people his friend Mark, the one who tagged him, mentioned – sorry Moksha! – so we don’t run in circles. (See what I did there?) 😉

I’ll start with my friend Geneviève’s new blog « Mes trouvailles » (transl. « My findings »). Although it’s in French, most of what she points to – YouTube videos, images, etc. – is English, so it can be open to all. Unlike her other blog, « La Prof pas de classe« , which is an online journal, « Mes Trouvailles » really is a blog (weblog), as it presents content she’s found interesting and/or funny while surfing.

Next is a blog mosaic. François (Corpse Countdown) and his wife Tasha (Stories of a New TV Mom) each have their own journal, and they (ie. François) ghostwrite a blog for each of their children, Ben (Starting Out Small) and Sara (First time for everything). François is also part of an improv group called « Without Annette » and contribute to their blog « Dear Annette« . All of these peepholes put together open a window into the Vincent family’s life. Fun!

My sister Karine started her blog recently (French). An unreachable overloaded out-of-town working-two-jobs university student, she figured sharing what’s going on in her life with everybody at once would save her some time and long-distance charges. She started with mostly student-related issues, but as she’s graduating this term, her blog will become a tracking of her first steps as a professional – and already notes of a first contract she’s got!

Another blog family, but this one in French: that of Marie-Claude. We met her at the prenatal classes, when she was pregnant with her first child, Émilie (but I call her Émilie jr.). Marie-Claude’s journal is the M-C blog, and she maintains an online baby album for Émilie (Petite Émilie sur le net) and just started another album for her upcoming baby (Petit bébé sur le net), as she’s already pregnant again! Émilie and her future sibling will have a 16 months age difference or so, I think… good luck Marie-Claude!

Last but not least is my dear friend Amélie (L’îlot d’Amélie, French). I’m mentioning her last not because of her value in my heart but because, well… she’s not a frequent poster, is all. Gorgeous pictures in her galleries, though.

Il y a quelques posts, il m’a taggée dans ses « blogs qui le font réfléchir » – je me gratte encore la tête à ce sujet, mais puisque c’est un bon gars et que j’ai déjà voté pour lui dans les Blogger’s Choice Awards, je n’assûmerai pas que cette mention flatteuse pave le chemin vers la requête d’une faveur – et voici donc mes cinq à moi. En passant, je vais éviter de mentionner les mêmes gens que lui – sa femme Amy et notre camarade de BW Paul – et aussi les gens que son ami Mark, celui qui l’a taggé, a mentionné – désolée Moksha! – pour ne pas qu’on tourne en rond. (Voyez ce que j’ai fait là?) 😉

Ensuite est une mosaïque de blogs (Anglais). François (Corpse Countdown) et sa femme Tasha (Stories of a New TV Mom) ont chacun leur propre journal, et ils (c’est-à-dire François) écrivent un blog pour chacun de leurs enfants, Ben (Starting Out Small) et Sara (First time for everything). François fait aussi partie d’un groupe d’impro nommé « Without Annette » et contribue à leur blog « Dear Annette« . Tous ces petits trous d’observation mis ensemble ouvrent une fenêtre sur la vie de la famille Vincent. Fun!

Ma soeur Karine a démarré son blog récemment. Une étudiante non-rejoignable débordée qui a deux jobs et habite dans une autre ville, elle s’est dit que donner des nouvelles à tout son monde en même temps lui sauverait du temps et des charges de long-distance. Elle a commencé surtout avec des sujets reliés aux études, mais puisqu’elle termine ses études cette session-ci, son blog tracera ses premiers pas comme professionnelle – et dénote déjà un premier contrat qu’elle a déccroché!

Une autre famille de blog, mais en Français cette fois : celle de Marie-Claude. Nous l’avons rencontrée aux cours prénataux, quand elle était enceinte de sa première enfant, Émilie (mais je l’appelle Émilie jr.). Le journal de Marie-Claude est le M-C blog, et elle maintient un album de bébé en ligne pour Émilie (Petite Émilie sur le net) et vient de démarrer un autre albume pour son bébé à venir (Petit bébé sur le net), puisqu’elle est déjà à nouveau enceinte! Émilie et son futur frère ou soeur auront une différence d’âge d’environ 16 mois ou qqch, je crois… bonne chance Marie-Claude!

La dernière mais non la moindre, ma chère amie Amélie (L’îlot d’Amélie, Français). Je la mentionne en dernier, pas en raison de sa valeur à mes yeux, mais plutôt… elle ne post pas régulièrement, c’est tout. Des photos superbes dans ses galeries, toutefois.

Et… voilà.
