Brand New Site!Tout nouveau site!

At last, I have picked the blog/administration system I wanted to use for my website (gave up on writing one). My biggest concern was finding one that was multi-lingual, as I wanted my website to be both in English and French. There are some great tools out there, but mostly in English – or uni-lingual anyway. I found out about WordPress in an article (I’ll have to find the link again – it was before Christmas). I really wanted to use it, but the basic WordPress was only in English. I did find a plugin that allowed for multi-lingual editing, though, and here it is.

So that’s it! Frank – wonderfully loveable techie boyfriend – set up the whole deal, and now I’ll be able to slowly start designing the site and stuff. Right now I’m really optimistic about this, but remind me to give back feedback about how it goes in a while.

Enfin, j’ai choisi le système de blog/administration que je souhaite utiliser pour mon site (j’ai laissé tombé en programmer un tout nouveau). Ma priorité était d’en trouver un qui était multi-lingue, puisque que je souhaitais pouvoir monter mon site en Français et Anglais. Il y a de bon outils qui existent, mais la plupart sont en Anglais – ou unilingue, en tout cas. J’ai trouvé WordPress dans un article (je devrai vous retrouver le lien – c’était avant Noël). Je voulais m’en servir, mais WordPress de base existe seulement en Anglais. François a trouvé une extension, toutefois, qui permet d’éditer le site en plusieurs langues et… voilà. C’est tout! François – chum techie merveilleusement adorable – a tout arrangé, et maintenant je pourrai tranquillement commencer à designer le site et tout. Je suis vraiment optimiste à propos de tout ça maintenant, mais rappelez-moi d’y revenir avec quelques commentaires sur comment ça se passe.
